Our Story
It all began with one man’s love of exceptional food and craft beer. Al Kominski, owner and head brewer, founded our restaurant, initially called Als of Hampden, in 2002 at our former location on Valley Road in Enola.
After building a loyal following for his best-in-class pizza and Italian favorites like stromboli, sandwiches, salads, and dinners, Al kicked things up a notch. In 2011, he started Pizza Boy Brewing and began crafting his own beers so that our beer-loving patrons could enjoy a taste of something new, different, and remarkably delicious.
Pizza Boy beer was an undeniable hit and that meant Al needed more space and brewing capacity. In 2013, we moved into our newly built 10,000-square-foot facility on Millennium Way in Enola with a 20 HL brew system, 300 seats, and an enclosable patio for outdoor dining when Mother Nature cooperates.
Demand for our beers continued to grow, and we couldn’t bear to see our customers go thirsty! In 2015, we boosted our brewing capacity by upgrading to a 50 HL brew system.
Today, with the largest tap list in Pennsylvania, plus wine and spirits, a full menu compliments of our in-house restaurant Als of Hampden, and a family-friendly, casual atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, we strive to be THE destination gathering place for locals and visitors alike.
More than 20 years has passed since we opened our doors, our legacy of innovating, growing, and keeping our customers extraordinarily happy endures. As our story continues, we hope you will be a part of it for many years to come!
